Baldwinsville House with Mustang

Selling the House in Baldwinsville

I did not return to the boat during the summer of 2024. I had good intentions to do so. However, as my grandmother used to say, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

I have decided to sell my house in Baldwinsville. I really do not spend enough time there to justify the taxes. Everyone complains about taxes in New York State. To be honest, the property taxes are reasonable. It’s the school taxes that are out of control. There is zero fiscal responsibility. The school acts like they have unlimited funds to work with. … and they do. The taxes go up every year.

I will not be returning to the boat this spring. Distant Horizon is under the watchful eye of Alan Harris while I’m gone.

For now, it’s time to empty the house, clean and paint. I was going to sell the house and buy one in the Azores, but my daughter and son-in-law put together a better plan. The long term plan is to move to Colorado where I will be closer to my granddaughter, and be close to outdoor recreational areas in the summer and winter.

The House has been placed on the market.

So, now it is time to sell the last of my personal items… like the Mustang.
