Sailing Adventures

“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea – whether it is to sail or to watch it –

we are going back from whence we came.”

John F. Kennedy

I am a Sailor, Photographer, and Adventurer. I wanted to bring my passions  together in one grand adventure.  I couldn’t think of a better way to get started, than by fulfilling a life-long dream of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in my boat.

Welcome

Captain Kevin

This website is where I will share the stories of all my adventures; the photographs of places along the way, and plans for the next endeavor.

You are welcomed and encouraged to follow along by reading the blog or viewing the gallery. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see rapid updates. Distant Horizon is a small boat. She does not carry satellite equipment. So, I will update whenever I reach land.

Previously, CaptainKev.com was dedicated to the delivery or transport of boats over water.

I had a sailing blog where I would write stories or descriptions of the events surrounding my sailing adventures. It was called, “Sailing on the Distant Horizon“. It grew too long, and the host site was inflexible from my perspective.

Now, the focus of the CaptainKev website will be to share my sailing adventures. The site may evolve over time; I’m just finding my way. I do have the flexibility I was searching for. Here, I will write new articles and post them as often as I can. I do not have an internet link on my boat. So, most of this will happen when I reach land.

The blog page will contain a synopsis of the most current articles; ordered by date, newest first. There is also a gallery page for photos I’ve taken throughout my journey.
